"standing by" by CP
My controlling purpose of Standing By is to grab a attention from the audience to see the reality of the world that we might not able to see anywhere, and Standing by is a good example of the world itself and the people. People shows what they really are when they are pressured by frustration and anger.
I like this topic--it hits at the heart of "Standing By." I think you need a more specific writerly choice, however. Right now it's a vague controlling purpose, and grounding it with one or two specific writerly choices will help you focus your essay.
ReplyDeleteAlso make sure to include why you want to write about it. What is at stake for you? How did the writerly choices you are going to focus on change the way you read or interpreted the essay as a whole?
